Do you think the Health and Safety obsession has gone too far?

In The Times on Saturday 22 November (p6), the new Chairman of the National Trust, Sir Simon Jenkins, says that overzealously enforced and interpreted health and safety legislation is "a plague and it is not just something that affects the National Trust. It is something that I would join as a campaign to see if we can't get some protocol of reasonableness from health and safety authorities to free people from total risk aversion".
